Larry Shipp
Larry Shipp has over 30 years of experience as a corporate executive and logistics consultant. Larry graduated from Portland State University in 1973 with a BS in Business Administration. After graduation he began his career with Lamb-Weston, Inc, a $1.5 billion subsidiary of ConAgra, as a Customer Service Coordinator. During his 26 year tenure he was promoted and held positions such as Manager of Distribution Services, VP of Management Information Services and Business Analysis, European Director of Logistics and finally VP of Logistics. While with Lamb-Weston he returned to school and received his MBA from Portland State University in 1984. In 1999 he was transferred to ConAgra’s corporate office in the capacity of Corporate VP of Integrated Logistics. He had the responsibility of integrating the distribution, transportation and warehousing from ConAgra’s $20 billion food businesses. Larry left ConAgra in 2001 to become the Corporate VP of Logistics of Smithfield Foods, Inc and President of Smithfield Transportation Company. During his time in the corporate world, Larry led projects to implement several technology solutions from order to cash, inventory planning and forecasting, transportation management systems, warehouse management systems and international logistic execution systems. In 2004 Larry left the corporate world to seek new challenges and founded Supply Chain Solutions, a logistic consulting firm. Entrepreneurial by nature, Larry gravitated toward his desire to acquire and build a new business in a new industry. In 2006, Supply Chain Solutions, Inc acquired US Truss Steel Buildings, Inc and Worldwide Building Sales, Inc. Larry merged the two businesses into Worldwide Steel Buildings. With Larry’s guidance and the opportunities that exists in this new, exciting industry the potential growth of this business in virtually limitless.
Steve Sprenger
Steve Sprenger has close to 20 years of experience in the public and private accounting. While still in college, Steve began his career as a full charge bookkeeper for a small contracting company called Sisco Systems, Inc that was located in North Kansas City, MO. Prior to graduation, he accepted a position as an intern, then as a full time staff accountant for Surber and Associates PC, a CPA firm that was located in Lee’s Summit, MO. Steve graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a BS in Accounting in 1990. After almost 2 years in public accounting, Steve moved on to work for the Burd & Fletcher Co, a mid-sized folding paper carton manufacturer located in Independence, MO. Originally hired as a Finished Goods Manager, he was eventually promoted into the capacity of Corporate Controller. During his tenure at Burd & Fletcher, Steve returned to UMKC to further his education, graduating with an MBA with an emphasis in Finance in 1997. He continued his career in the architectural sheet metal contracting industry as the Vice-President of Finance and Treasurer of Cosentino Contracting, Inc, located in North Kansas City, MO. Upon leaving CCI he managed a Public Accounting practice in Olathe called the Financial Edge Group until he was hired as the Chief Financial Officer of Midwest Mechanical Service, Inc, a mechanical service contacting company located in Grandview, MO. In early 2006, Steve was introduced to Larry Shipp and was offered an opportunity with Larry’s new venture in the steel building industry and has been with Heartland Manufacturing Group, Inc in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer ever since.
Warren Bott
Warren Bott has over 25 years experience in sales & marketing in the construction & industrial markets. Warren went to Central Missouri State University and earned a B. A. in Business Administration/Marketing.
In 1981 Warren was hired as a sales representative for Steel & English Industrial Supply. Over the next several years he was promoted to Sales Manager and than became a Branch Manager for a local supply house. In 1989 Warren took a position with Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company as Area Manager furthering his knowledge in the construction and industrial markets. In March of 2007 Warren began speaking with Larry Shipp about coming on board and leading the sales and marketing arm of Larry’s organization. In May 2007 Warren started with Worldwide Steel Buildings and believes the growth potential is endless.
